A snowy winter wonderland full of vitality and contemplation

Skiing holiday in the Pitztal & Tyrolean Oberland

Just as hiking in the summer, skiing during the winter time is an essential in Tyrol. It comes as no surprise, since the Pitztal and the surrounding valleys offer tons of ski resorts to skiiers, snowboarders, freeriders, freestylers and tour hikers. Also in Wenns there are various options for skiing: the very well known ski resort Hochzeiger or the glacier ski resort Rifflsee with breathtaking views and tons of snow, even during spring time. More luxurious ski resorts, like Sölden, Ischgl and Arlberg as well as smaller ski resorts, such as Bergbahnen Imst or Serfaus – Fiss – Ladis are worth seeing.

Diversity in the winter time

During the colder months, the Pitztal is covered in snow, the air is crisp and refreshingly cold, thus being perfect for all sorts of winter activities: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking, tobogganing, ice skating, curling, sleigh rides or simply enjoying the bright winter sun in our conservatory. Besides that, the Pitztal is a famous destination for ice climbing. Beginners as well as advanced ice climbers enjoy the 45 ice climbing crags along frozen waterfalls.

Destinations off the slopes
